seat attachment?

I just finished my CH17 and am curious as to what might be the preferred method for affixing the seat? I was tempted to go with velcro because I'm brand new to paddling and I figured I would want to mess with the placement a little before I finally hit my groove (as it were), but I've heard that typically the adhesive won't last very long in a wet environment. Or should I just contact cement it and live with the result?
