Hi Charlie,

I'll do my best...

I found several sites with pictures of various craft constructed of whole bamboo, but that obviously isn't what you wanted... So I started looking for bamboo as a construction material, and was quite surprised.

I sent an email to the folks at the site below, (interesting reading) asking them if they knew of anyone who has ever done what you are suggesting... I also asked if they thought it could be done using epoxy and fiberglass...
