I painted an epoxied pirough with exterior latex. It's not as shiny as the polyurethane or enamels but it'll work. The paint is only on there to protect the epoxy from sunlight. Two quarts is plenty for the entire kayak, one quart is sufficient for the bottom. If you're going for low cost paint don't bother with primer.
