A tip for rapid bailing: Use a bucket. Crouch in the middle of the boat, legs apart, and slam the bucket down in an arc, either between your knees or to one side, so it throws the water out. This is hard work, but a really fast way to get a flooded dinghy back into 'go' mode. Stability increases with the amount of water you get rid of, hence the need for speed. The bucket should of couse be tethered when you're not using it.
