So the Florida power boaters, who are required to take boater education, are responsible for 6 times as many accidents and 5.75 times as many fatalities as the "uneducated" non-motorized boaters? I guess I'm just a simple country boy, but if safety is the goal, it sure sounds like it's time to say "Screw the classes, just impound the motors!".

Then they could also save money on dredging the channels and manatee protection. Maybe the Florida yakkers could introduce a "revenge" bill to this effect?
