All depends on whether you have ready access to good okoume, fiberglass cloth, epoxy etc. Also, do you have a large enough shop where you can cut out the panels easily and ACCURATELY?
In my case(s) I've found the kits wind up being as cheap or cheaper than getting the various components shipped to me.
So, I do kits to SAVE $.
But that's just my situation and my 2 cents.
