Before Glassing Deck...
Posted by Matt Croce on Sep 9, 2006
There are a couple of small voids on my deck -- some along the deck / shear seams, and one due to a small knot in the deck wood. These are less than 1/8" wide, probably more like 1/32", and maybe up to 1/2" long.
Should I fill these prior to glassing the deck, or should I just rely on the resin to flow into them as I glass the deck?
And if I should fill them prior to glassing the deck, what should I fill them with? Straight resin? Resin thickened with cabosil? Or with wood flour?
Thanks Matt
