Alan, I am at a bit of a disadvantage here since I did not build this boat. Your web reference does not illustrate the piece that is causing the problem. Apparently the CLC Oxford Rowing Shell uses a method of securing the rig to the floor that is not described in the web reference. There is a deck plate glued and epoxied into the floor that accepts two wood screws. The wood screws hold down a wooden bracket that the leveling legs slide into. The screws holding the wooden bracket to the shell floor are pulling from the mounting plate in the floor. I will try to post a photo or two. BTW, I have not tried anything yet.
The rigging itself is great.
