water & bulkhead
Posted by brian on Aug 8, 2006
I went on my maiden voyage in my 17' guillemot and probably rougher water then I needed for a beginner. I eneded up with water seeping through my mini cell bulkhead. I used 3m 5200 sealant, but probably missed a spot. oh yeah I haven't done any hatches yet! So now what? tip it on its nose and will the water seep out the way it went in? or will the water dissapate? I want to go out again this weekend and want to re-seal the bulk head, should I wait unitl the water is out of the compartment to re-seal?
