Sanding problem

Hi,

Just carried out the last sanding before varnishing, the problem is that in some places I have sanded into the glass cloth slightly. Can I varnish over these small areas. I don't rearly want to use more epoxy over the areas has this means more sanding and a man can have too much sanding in one lifetime.
