Yea the kit included spacers but they were not quite enough perhaps..plus the situation is made worse in my case b/c the hatch rims do not allow sufficient space for the gasket to fit in between the opening and the rim...hard to desribe unless you see a picture. Anyhoo, I am trying some alternative sizes and styles of weather striping...gonna launch the baot unfinished today and try a few rolls...see what happens...I will let folks know my findings soon.
