I'm a big fan of internal bungies which is what I believe CLC did on their hybrid. I use the hatch stiffeners, two per hatch and leave out the middle one on the rear hatch, and notch them near the ends to slip a bungee into. The bungee is secured to the bottom of the boat using small wooden fittings epoxied in place. I'll get some pics posted if nobody else does!
