a few shallow sanding spots into the glass isn't the end of the world. That's why surface prep of the unglased wood and the first wet out coat is so important. A very even squeegeeing job will ensure the glass is as flat as possible with extra fill coats on those areas where sanding can cut down too fast. Roll on extra fill coats along the sheer, where the panels bend near the ends, on the coaming and hatch edges.
