I dont see how cove and bead strips can benefit the structure of the hull more than okoume plywood. Aside from the lower wetted surface you can achieve in a cove/bead strip hull by doing away with the S$G hard angle design artifacts - plywood by far has got to be structurely stronger. I think you can design a faster hull in strip, but per weight and thickness, Id bet good money on the cross grain layers of plywood over cove and bead.

You could be right but Im not understanding it.
