Thanks for the reply George. I am looking at putting Moby latches on the hatches so there will be some sort of structure like a stiffener that can help hold the curve. Right now it takes some seriuos force - 3" C clamps - to pull the hatch down onto the recut mold. That makes me think (dangerous activity) that the slit & glue thing might be a good idea.
