Arctic Hawk vs. CHes. 17

Once again I sit on the fence on whether to embark on my first kayak building project. I have paddled both the Arctic Hawk & the Ches. 17. and like them both for different reasons.

Can you share your thoughts on how long you think it would take to build either of these two boats (excluding time for varnishing/painting)/ I am leaning toward the Arctic Hawk but have heard that the build time and complexity is much greater.
