Ken, here is another picture. Yes it does have bulkheads with inspection hatches, you can see the rear one in the picture. It was built from the plans in the book "Stitch and glue boatbuilding" by Chris Kulczycki and the only difference is the Mill Creek type cockpit. It sits low in the water because I am 6' 1" and weigh 95kg. But it handles the weight well and is very nice to paddle. I only paddle in creeks and rivers and only in larger bodies of water when the conditions are ok .
