i used aniline dyes from lee valley - prestained and presealed the ply sheets before cutout and drilling,dyed edges, s&g'd, pulled wires, touchup w/ tiny sable brush dye twirl in the holes, glass.

used v. v. v. thin scraped sealcoat - next time would make it normal thickness so wouldn;t scuff in handling.
