Thank you, thank you. But I'll tell y' what... if I NEVER get back into 55 degree water ever again, it won't hurt MY feelings.

By the way, at one point in the class, I accidentally capsized (for the first time ever as far as I know) while performing a low braced side slipping carved turn (that stupid Euro blade dug on me). Sploosh! I instantly snapped off a textbook roll with hands in the paddling position and came right up, despite the shock of the totally unexpected submersion in frigid water... a classic second-nature Inuit survival maneuver - it was great! Kathy, our instructor (read: drill sargent), saw it all and said "that was a good shoulder-safe recovery, but next time you might try... blah... blah... blah..." GEEZ, so much for being proud of myself...

(But just between you and me, I've never been prouder of any roll I've ever managed than that one. It was really cool, and in more ways than one.)
