If you want to go light, how about not glassing the inside of the hull, Use 'Everdure' or your local equivalent. Attached link is for constructing plywood racing catamarans in Australia and New Zealand. They still use plywood for this design as composites don't provide the same stiffness & strength for weight, as ply for the flat sections.
