I would think any multi-chined boat plan would work, ie, they would use the thinner pieces you have leftover. With scarfing and paint, I would bet you could build any boat you wished. If you want to stick with the 14 foot size, maybe the Ches 14, or check Pygmy's site for the 14 foot Tern. Then there is Selway-Fuscher.com that has several kayak plans available that are of the smaller length.
