...and a flat bottom. And a retractable trunk rudder. I'm a big fan of the Caledonia Yawl and of Geoff Kerr, who builds them and teaches CLC classes. This boat comes from a different strain of development however, basically an enlargement of the Skerry's Swampscott dory hull. The client thought the flat bottom was preferable for beaching and easier to build than something with a lot of deadrise.

Nice boat, but not under consideration as a production article for CLC.
