I "decorated" my Chesepeake18, with an Orca Whale design. Design was drawn onto the Yak, then a scapel was used to score the design (otherwise the Stain would bleed). Multi Color Water Based Stains were used (most were blended at Lowes). After the stains were applied I let them dry then laid the fiberglass. Looks great and has held up so far. I also used contrasting stain colors on the hatches and the coaming. I had attempted to use the "Vellum" Method (design drawn or printed on Vellum then layed under the Glass), tested it in the cockpit area. I wasn't pleased with the result.
