Those are great clamps. Especially for clamping under deck reinforcement strips at the hatches.

One can use backyard methods like cut Schedule 40 cut PVC pipe. BUT,,it's not worth compicating an important part of the construction like the installation of the coaming stack by doing it all at once. Putting spacers on first then coaming second makes it a lot neater and requires less clamping pressure.
