I have used both the expensive Garmin, and the cheap yellow one. The cheaper one works all of the time and the expensive ones only last about a year under severe usage. I teach part time at a nature camp and the students really beat up the gps units. Again I have found that the Little yellow units from garmin outwork and outlast the other units.
