Published and Smithsonian

Hey, Mac

Been working through divorce, my new business - home renovations - and becoming a published writer. Much has happened during the last two months. The divorce proceedings are going well enough. The reno business is slowly moving but making enough to get by on. The published thing is a developing concern. By the end of November I will have had an exerpt of one of my kayaking stories published in a book titled "Reading the River..." by Myrna Kostash. She got me to read my story at her book launch and talk about my family heritage and cross-Canada trip. That reading has lead to me being asked to meet with at least one publisher and could see me participate in the Smithsonian Institutes Folklife Festival held in Washington (east coast) next July, all expenses paid, yadda yadda yadda. Much has happened. Sadly, I haven't paddled more than 3-4 times since August. I'm hoping to get out next week. The river is freezing up and THIS is when I love to paddle most.

How you doing these days?
