My wife & I have been talking this year about a nighttime paddling trip. Probably do it next season, it's getting a little cold at night now (freezing last night). So we're interested in your headlamp setup. Was it a car's headlamp or one of those lamps on a strap around your head? What's a good intensity for safety without scaring the critters?
