Well for any adventure race that you have to pack for will rule out the Pax 20 in my opinion. Just a wee bit low on volume. Of course if you raised the rear deck.... wait, stop ben. Anyway, having owned a production Hawk I know you can but about a weeks worth of stuff in her, and the west river looks to have a bit more room. You should really try paddling them all, just due to past ownership bias I would go for the Hawk. Course I will have my Pax 20 done soon so that may change.
