Lee,

I do a thorough cleaning of the inside of the hull before putting on the deck. This includes shop vac and moist towel wipe down of the entire surface. Never had anything stick to the deck and turning the boat over allows me to fill any small gaps around the deck/hull joint with some schmooze. Works for me, anyway!
