When safe to tape paint?

When is it safe to apply masking tape to Polyurethane, Brightsides? Just finished 2 coats on the hull and need to mask before applying bottom paint (epoxy-cabo-carbon). Also, which is the best brand to avoid problems. As usual, many thanks for all the help. I'll be sending pictures as soon as bottom paint dries. Happy, happy, happy!!!!!!
