Re: Skeg or not to skeg ?

From what I've read, the LT 17 doesn't really need a skeg, or rudder. But if one were to be installed, I'd go with a rudder as a skeg seems to just be a problem that will occur in the future. I think skegs are more difficult to add "later" whereas a rudder can be installed at any time, but maybe some forethought should be used and install the control linkages during construction. My .02 cents worth.
