Try this on scrap first, but there are kayak designers who actually recommend using Pam (a vegetable oil spray) on tools to prevent dookie plague from spreading. I remember using it on a work table to back up a finger joint years ago when I'd run out of waxed paper and it worked a treat with no ill effect.

Too expensive to replace waxed paper and, like silicone, we don't want it any where near our finish coats do we?
