I've built several 14s over the years and the large radius in the aft deck does transition to flat or nearly so as it approaches the stern. Jim S. is right: trying to retrofit an aft deck beam would not be successful in restoring some deck curvature. I'd leave it if I were you.
Where you may want to stiffen the deck is the area between the aft bulkhead and the aft hatch, particularly if your daughter wants to learn paddle self rescues, as this puts strain on that area of the deck.
Good luck with the 14, maybe the prettiest of all the Chesapeakes.
