Thank you very much for your input. It is good to have voices of experience on this forum. I am torn between a Eric Shade Shearwater Merganser 17W (17x23) and a CLC Shearwater 17 (17x221/4)...I am an intermediate kayker in ability and really did not enjoy the narrow confines of the CLC Arctic Hawk when I paddled it at the demo. That leads me to believe that the CLC Shearwater might be a touch on the narrow side for me. Tough decisions...
