planing the shear clamps is an exercise in both planing for shape and hight.

at the ends, a significant amount of work is required to get rid of the excess hight ....simply shaping it is not enough.

keep taking it down until you have the right shape and the hight should be such that the outer edge of the shear clamp transitions smoothly into the the inside edge of the hull panels. this means that you will, in fact, plane slightly into the outer edge of the hull panels when you do it just right.

keep at it...you are almost there.
