I remember that river. Back in '84 or '85, I put into that river to get some protection from a hurricane that was heading up the coast. I anchored in that lovely horseshoe cove near St. Mary's College. I was busy securing the boat and had to go up the mast with the bosuns' chair to replace the masthead light. Some of the school coeds thought this was neat and paddled out to meet me. Made some nice friends, and had a place to sleep if the storm blew up bad. The storm skidded off the coast with no damage and the lovely weather next day made for one of the most memorable sails down the River and into the Potomac. Nice area. Nice people.
