Gap filling ?

After a little planing on the bulkheads, I manged to get both bulkheads installed on my CH 17LT with a nice fit. But for gaps between the shear clamps and the notched out portion of the bulkheads. On the front bulkhead the gap is only about 1/8" so I was going to fill it with epoxy mixed with wood filler. The rear bulkhead has a gap more like 1/4 - 5/16" with the shear clamp. What should I do here - epoxy on some of the 3" glass tape material? Epoxy on a small piece of wood?
