it should not be a problem, and as clc suggested, as a clear-coat, you will not see a colour difference.

but the placement of epoxy is a big effort and you are right to be concerned to make sure its going to go off right.

do a simple test batch in a cup (one pump of each). if it hardens...you're fine. if it doesn't you have some more work to do.
