Bryan, measure both down the centerline and down the sheerlines, then split the diff. And remember, measure with a micrometer, mark with chalk, and cut with a chain saw.

Bulkheads never fit right out of the box. Oh sure, someone's gonna jump up and say "mine did!!" I just shoot 'em. Getcher block plane out and tweak 'til you get no more'n about 1/4" gaps here and there, and don't go overboard on the fillets.
