How light is light?
Posted by Andrew K. on Aug 26, 2005
Hi all. I just finished applying the 2nd coat of epoxy to the hull of my WR164 and things are looking pretty good. Unfortunately I won't be able to apply the next coat for a few days, so from what I have read, I need to "lightly" sand the hull before the next coat. This isn't such a bad thing since there are a few bubbles due to outgassing that I would like to remove, and I have read that this light sanding helps with a better final finish.
The question is should this "light" sanding be done by hand, or can I use the ROS? Also, what grain paper should I use?
Thanks for any help--I appreciate it.
