Newport, RI This Weekend

We're rolling out to the WoodenBoat Show in downtown Newport, Rhode Island, which runs Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

This will probably be the last time we get to New England this year, so jump in the car and check it out. Great show.

John Harris, Mike Guarracino, and David Fawley will man the booth. Here's the list of boats we're bringing:

Chesapeake 14, 16LT, 16, 17LT, and 17 kayaks; the Chesapeake Sport Tandem and Chesapeake Triple (maybe); the Oxford Shell (also maybe); the Pax 18 and Pax 20; the N E W CLC Shearwater 17 and Shearwater 16 Hybrid; the West River 18; the Arctic Hawk; the Mill Creek 13 and 16.5; the Sassafras 12 and Sassafras 16; the Passagemaker Dinghy and Passagemaker Take-Apart; the Eastport Pram, the Chester Yawl, the Skerry, the Annapolis Wherry.

The new Shearwaters (not yet on the site) are the first of CLC's kayak kits to be available with a "hybrid" strip-planked deck option, and we'll be demonstrating how that works in the booth. Your forum moderator will also conduct a seminar on Saturday about how to use stitch-and-glue techniques for components on larger boats, such as hatches and other fittings.
