New approach--building up

Posted by Andrew King on Aug 20, 2005

Hi all, and thanks for the suggestions so far. I've been studying the panels closely, and I now think the problem is actually on the other side. It looks like the seam does "cave-in" a bit, creating a bit of a concave section near the curve of the bow.

I am thinking to balance it out I could build up the cave-in using a fairing compound--would this work? If so, is wood-flour-thickened epoxy the best material to use, or would something else work better?

As always, thanks for any help.
