I like the Taz decal idea.
I'd be real carefull with any giant "end pour" approach; I had a bad experience with too big a pour that created enough heat during curing that it actually boiled over; made one heck of a mess of the side panels.
For the fix I'd cut the damaged wood as straight as possible; just take off the whole front end. Make up new plywood pieces, butt joint to the existing, place a reinforcing layer of plywood behind the butt similar to the deck joint at the coming, then carry on with glass, epoxy, sand, & varnish.
Then definitely the Taz or a twister on front. This story deserves to be memorialized.
