John's Sharpie

I have been considering building John's Sharpie but the kit is incomplete with no masts, sails, epoxy, or fiberglass. I was wondering if anyone out there who has completed the kit could give me rough estimate of the total cost they had into their boat by the time it was finished. I live in Michigan near the Saginaw Bay so everything is easily accessable within driving distance so I am not worried about not being able to find the supplies but I would really like to know roughly how much in addition to the 1400ish for the kit.
