Thanks for the info. I suspected that the halyard attached as you said, but thought I might be missing something. I am still a little confused about the boom attachment though. There is a wooden gooseneck on the end of the boom that obviously rides along the edge of the mast, but no other hardware supplied that would keep it in place. Do I just tie a line around the boom and secure it to a cleat on the mast as a downhaul?
