When you say "lower load" it may mean you were interpreting J. Schott's test as a static load test.

I believe J. was reporting impact test, not static load.

Don't know if CF-ply-epoxy laminate also has lower yield strength than FG-ply-epoxy or not. I'm just not sure an impact test would tell you the answer. CLC John knows this kind of stuff and might impart this wisdom.

Anyway, this mechanical stuff confuses me. I took EE and we just had to learn "plus" and "minus".
