I wouldn't do it. All things being equal, the low aft deck makes the Arctic Hawk one of the easiest kayaks around to roll (when you get around to taking a class in rolling). Raising it would complicate construction a lot and void the warranty, and worst of all, it would tend to cause weathercocking.
