varnish hull and deck sep

I have some work to do on my deck. Once I do it I will have to wait again before I start varnishing.

I thought maybe I could 3 or 5 coats of varnish my hull 1st with the boat upside down.

And in about 2 weeks I will be able to varnish the deck in 3 or 5 separte coats.

Is this a good idea or a bad idea ? If I do it this way, I will be able to finish quicker.
