Epoxy chicken

After all this time the three thin coats of epoxy on the bottom just didn't feel right for the long hual. I went kayaking with my son in our two plastic not so fantastics and found the put in's a little rough on the hulls. So I came home and through another coat on the bottom so my bright CH18 will really be tough, or am I just being a finish chicken?
