You are not alone. I ordered some glass cloth and requested it to be rolled not folded. The cloth came rolled on a heavy cardboard tube plastic wrapped and then double wrapped and well taped. When it arrived the tube was flodeded in the middle. I was fortunate that the buggered areas of the weave matched the shear line of the hull and could be discarded.
